DICTIONARIES

The dictionaries available on ISC are :

• TWL - 192,111 words - the American dictionary, used in North American and Canadian tournaments.

• SOWPODS - 279,496 words - Collins Official Scrabble Words 2019 HarperCollins Publishers 2019. It is used in the World Scrabble Championships in the British and in Australia, New Zealand, Malta, and Emirates tournaments.

• French - 402,324 words - based on ODS, L'Officiel du Scrabble, it is used in the World Scrabble Championships in French.

• LOC - 610,767 words - Lista Oficiala de Cuvinte, the official list used in tournaments in Romania.

• Dutch - 271,754 words - based on SWL, The Official Scrabble Word List for dutch language.

• PARO - 674,769 - Italian dictionary, an unofficial word list. There is no official scrabble dictionary for the Italian language.

• OSPS - 2,629,855 words - Oficjalny Slownik Polskiego Scrabblisty, the official Polish scrabble dictionary.

• Spanish - 635,270 words - based on Lexicon 2, the official list used by the International Federation of Scrabble in Spanish.
